The spectator can get a response from Well through his or her voice. The louder their voice, the more light and sound. By using a reflection effect on the bottom, Well seems to be much deeper than it actually is. The goal of Well is to bring the viewer back to their youth and recall a piece of their innocence.
The use of interaction in design is of great importance. This allows to dramatically extend the attention of the viewer or user. By letting people influence the work, they can shape their own experience. With this installation, the viewer is invited to participate in an experience that they probably know from their childhood. Yelling down a well, to produce an echo.
